John's Island is a 1,650-acre barrier island gated community situated within the Town of Indian River Shores along 2.5 miles of beach on the Atlantic Ocean just north of Vero Beach. There are approximately 1,380 residential properties including single family residents, oceanfront condominiums, golf cottages, and townhouses. E. Llwyd Ecclestone, Sr. carefully preserved the pristine natural environment and majestic live oak trees when he developed the property. Established in 1969 the John's Island Property Owners Association's main mission is "to keep John's Island safe and beautiful."
